The Canadian Art Therapy Association (CATA) only accepts Professional or Registered membership applications from applicants who have graduated from an art therapy program that meet’s CATA’s education standards.
There are two ways that these training programs can demonstrate that they meet these standards.
Canadian art therapy programs can be audited by CATA directly to determine that they meet these standards.
Non-Canadian art therapy programs can be audited by one of the other art therapy associations that maintain equivalent standards to CATA’s.
